Boyd closes in on Larsson record
I'm not sure why this bothers me so much. Ranger's Kris Boyd is close to beating Henrik Larsson's for the most goals scored in the Scottish Premier league.Larsson's record stood for all that was good in the game, while Boyd really is a bit of a wank, and show kids that being an unfit, complainer can get you where you want to be. There is no comparing the quality of the two players as Larsson really is one of the greats. I can't stand the thought of Boyd beating Larsson in anything other than a pie eating contest.
He also spells Chris with a 'K'...reason enough to detest him.

It seems that this story doesn't want to die. FIFA is yet to announce any sweeping changes to the game, and obviously they will never call for the game to be replayed. Well then, we’ll certainly be hearing a lot about this one. After UEFA changes the rules, trying to get the big teams in to the world cup, Ireland fought like soldiers today, and were minutes away from taking one of the most formidable forces in world football to penalties…..all to decide who would go to the biggest sporting event on earth. Guess what happened? 15 minutes away from penalties, Thierry Henry (Yep typical arsenal player) handles the ball blatantly in the Ireland box and then passes it on for a French player to score.
Again, a smaller team gets absolutely robbed by the officials, and UEFA as a whole. You will never see a more obvious infringement….yet against Ireland…it stands. The game isn’t even over yet, but I bet UEFA officials are pleased with the result so far.
